and one day Derek has to do field work and Stiles gets tasked with protecting him but something goes wrong and they get separated, and Stiles is being held hostage all the while trying not to show how much he’s freaking out bc shit, he’s supposed to be protecting Derek he’s the one who’s important here, they need their Q alive
and on the other side of the building Derek is freaking out just as much – he needs Stiles to be alive, he’s their best asset and, and, Derek likes to have him around, his stupid demands for shoe knives keep him grounded, he has to save him, like he knows the flirting is just Stiles being Stiles but, it’s still endearing, he wants to keep flirting with him some more. and Derek is Q okay? that means he’s super smart and he can destroy a city with just his phone, so nothing will stop him from getting his agent back
