When they encounter a fountain that has seemingly appeared over night in the preserve, Derek and Liam are immediately suspicious. Before help arrives, Derek gets dragged into the fountain by the water itself. When Liam pulls him out, he’s met with not the Derek he’s come to know pretty well but a younger version. At least this time Derek seems to have his memories. Liam is stuck with watching over Derek, which wouldn’t be a problem if Liam wasn’t hiding feelings for the guy. Feelings which only grow the more time he has to spend with Derek. What’s surprising is this younger version of Derek keeps flirting with him and actually seems interested. Now Liam’s left to wonder if it’s suddenly going to stop once Derek is changed back. It doesn’t.

Greenberg and Danny go to school together. They’re both into music and spend a lot of time playing together. After high school, Danny moves and goes to college but continues to play local coffee shops, while Greenberg decides to pursue a career in music and winds up making it pretty big. Years later, Danny sees Greenberg on TV and feels a hint of longing about his old friend. He takes a chance and reaches out to his Greenberg and the two meet up for coffee. Danny is surprised to see the same spark he always felt is still there. More surprising is that Greenberg himself seems to feel the same way, and later admits that some of his songs are written about Danny.
“Stiles?”
“Surprise!” Stiles laughs, holding the ring out on the chain in front of him as he keeps his phone fixed on Derek.
Derek looks from the ring to the phone before his gaze finally settles on Stiles’ face. Stiles doesn’t miss the look of hope there or the way his voice wavers, “What are you doing?”
“Proposing!” Stiles tells him, “I love you Derek Hale. And I thought what better way to do this than on our anniversary in the same place we had our first date. So what do you say? Will you marry me?”
“Yeah,” Derek says, closing the distance between them in three quick strides. He takes Stiles’ face in his hands and places a series of frantic kisses to Stiles’ lips before pulling back and giving him a blinding grin. “Of course I will. I’ll marry you.“
