Whenever it seemed like the world was ending, Derek and Stiles would say: “We have each other. We’ll be okay.” But then the world as they knew it did end, and amidst the chaos and confusion, they somehow didn’t have each other anymore.
It had been countless months since then, and those who remained split into factions. Stiles joined The Runners – it was better than facing the new world alone. And yet, he heard rumors of a man without a faction. A renegade. They called him Omega. Said he had traveled across the country solo – that he managed to survive the droughts, escape the gangs, make it through the terror of it all.
i like to think about stiles and derek getting together in the most mundane way possible. Like, boring but soft. So soft. Stiles just asking Derek out one day, just saying, “Do you want to have dinner with me sometime?”
And Derek smiling at him and clarifying, “are you asking me out?”
“Oh good, you got that,” Stiles would confirm. And yes, he does. So they do.
And after their first official date at some restaurant in the next town over where Stiles steals from Derek’s plate and tries to pay but Derek shoves his card into the waiters’ hand first, Stiles walks Derek to his door and they kiss for the first time.
It’s probably grossly chaste and sweet and Derek’s hands are on Stiles’ face and Stiles is trying not to smile because he thinks it would ruin the moment. But he does anyway.
And Derek invites him inside and Stiles accepts even though nothing happens except they fall asleep together on the couch with some movie playing in the background that neither have been watching.
Derek wakes up in the middle of the night and carries Stiles to bed and makes him breakfast in the morning and Stiles just somehow never ends up leaving.
Body Swap AU – Pissing off a witch is officially on the pack’s no-no list. After Derek and Stiles get their bodies swapped, Stiles decides to explore the werewolf body he is now occupying. Derek is not thrilled at all about it and Scott is having the time of his life.
Stiles’ entire being trembled with fright. How did such a beautiful creature turn so horrid and mad in a matter of seconds? The Phantom’s face was burned and distorted, undoubtedly grotesque, but the terror that gripped his heart was caused by The Phantom’s anger, the wildness of a savage animal that he, for a moment, had become.
“I’m sorry,” a whisper quiet apology.
The Phantom froze, his back to Stiles, hands stretched out in an aborted move to grab the mask. It was silent, save for the gurgling water and Stiles thought the Phantom would never speak again. The prospect of never hearing his Angel Of Music seized at his throat. Stiles said it again, louder.
“I don’t need your pity,” came a reply, gravely and low.
“I do not pity you,” he said and then repeated, this time more heatedly. “I don’t.”

“Everyone has agood side and everyone has a bad one, only you have them both on the surface.” Stiles had leaned over and pressed his lips against the left and then, the right side of The Phantom’s face. Both kisses, feathery light and equal in measure were so warm, it sent shivers down The Phantom’s spine. He closed his eyes, half believing this was a dream and half praying it wasn’t.
“But you have been given a gift, Angel of Music, and you had shared it with me when I’ve given you nothing in return. You shine so brightly I cannot see your poor face. And I can’t bring myself to hate it.”
When the Phantom finally opened his eyes, they shone with tears.
Dad!Sterek- I don’t know about you, but one of my all-time
favorite things is Derek and Stiles as parents! Be they single parents,
just meeting for the first time, have been married for twenty-five years
and already seven kids, or fall somewhere in between, I just love these
two as dads, and I hope you do too! The only requirement for this one
is that one or both of the pair have atleast one child, let your
imagination go all soft and fluffy for this adorable theme!

honestly look at Derek’s jacket in 6.19 and tell me he and Stiles aren’t already together by that point. That is 100% a Stiles’ jacket that he borrowed.

let’s talk canon, and specifically the skewy time line in 6b
before s6 we can give days to things happening but s6 is the longest season by far and very non specific
but here’ what we’ve got
Stiles left at the end of 6a which is early June [we know the school goes back in late august so early june to late august makes most sense] so that means the scene with the FBI happened BEFORE Scott went to leave for school in August [the day before BHHS went back for the new school year]
the scene with Chris Argent meeting Derek happened BEFORE he was framed by Kate getting him in with the FBI – they wouldn’t want him for murders in mexico but it’s shown much later in the timeline
the raid happened most likely in late summer, so depending on stiles being loquacious probably within a six week window, there’s not a lot to be very specific but it was certainly early
now there are things we can be specific on, Derek said that Stiles had a toe blown off but when we see him he’s fine, that means he had a period of healing and long enough that Derek was entirely let off the hook – that takes time, at least several months
as far as we can tell the Anuk-ite escapes in August, Monroe doesn’t become militarised until September at the earliest, and the show ends around May, 6b seems to last the entire school year, but even if it is just the winter term that’s still august through december
if Stiles was in that theorised six week window [allowing for bureaucracy] that means it’s likely that it had happened by the time that Lydia had the bad feeling.
Let me repeat that – no matter how we slice this Derek and Stiles were together for at least three months BEFORE they came back to Beacon Hills, long enough for Stiles to heal, that means they were together when they came back, they not only healed stiles foot together they drove down from washington dc
that’s love, man, being stuck in a car with Stiles that long and not throwing him out of the window
TLDR: Teen wolf’s timeline makes the fact that Sterek were together for months seem impossible, they were absolutely together!
okay but this is derek stilinski-hale finding out his husband is actually a retired secret agent. comes in handy when [insert bad guy here] sends someone to finish off the last of the hales.
I feel like Derek’s the type of teacher to give his students pop quizzes and Stiles is the type of teacher to smile fondly when Derek’s students complain to him about said pop quizzes
I LIKE THIS SO MUCH, but I also feel like a case could be made – hear me out! – that it’s Stiles who’s the pop quiz guy, like Stiles respects knowledge and dedication and cares passionately about what he teaches and is kind of a dick. It’s not his job, he tells kids, to provide an easy ride, but to make sure they develop some level of critical thinking ability which will enable them to succeed in life. Anyone–yes, anyone, Greenburg, jr.–who’s been paying a modicum of attention will have no difficulty with any of Stiles’ pop quizzes. This room is–what, now? “A temple of learning,” the class choruses, perhaps a little wearily, but by god they know the material.
MEANWHILE, Mr. Hale provides a syllabus at the beginning of the semester with every homework assignment, quiz, and test clearly noted. No surprises, he says, pushing his glasses up his nose, his voice soft. He sends out e-mails over the weekend that say the test is postponed because there was some confusion over Friday’s homework so they’ll review concepts on Monday instead.
Mr. Stilinski makes everyone participate, calls on people who don’t have their hands up, but Mr. Hale has them break into groups and then have one person from each group give an answer, or has them write the answer on whiteboards and hold them up. He’s really interested in exploring portfolio-based assessment for kids with test anxiety, he tells Mr. Stilinski in the teachers’ lounge.
When Derek does peer shadowing in Stiles’ classroom he’s always envious of how hard the kids are working, how agile they are when answering questions, the connections Stiles helps them make. The time goes by quickly. They laugh a lot. There’s not–he’s not really funny, he thinks. He just really wants them to get it and he teaches it methodically, the only way he knows how.
Ask Stiles, and he’ll tell anyone who’ll listen that Mr. Hale is the best teacher in the school, hands down.
Stiles: I don’t know… a- a spark, a twisted connection between you and me. A freaking invisible thread pulling us together. I don’t know, OK! I just feel something… more. And I know that you do too. Stiles: Are you even hearing what I’m saying? Derek: Yes. Stiles: Yes to what? You’re hearing me? Or that you do feel something? ……… Derek: Yes. To both.
