Derek stared at his phone, his brain desperately trying to figure out why Stiles would ask that.
<< I just got back from my school and they said they cannot give me any aid except for unsubsidised loans unless I have a child, get married or turn 24, so I have to get married
Disappointment hit hard, but he still replied quickly.
>> Okay
<< Wait? Really?
>> Yes really. What do we need to do?
Stiles’ smile was nervous, his scent, everything about him was nervous, and Derek tried to smile reassuringly.
”This isn’t really how I expected to get married,” Stiles said, fiddling with his tie.
“Sober and not in love with your fiance?” Derek joked.
“Right.” Stiles smile was forced. “Sober and not in love with my fiance.”
Derek blinked at the stumble of his heart. “Oh.”
“Sorry,” Stiles mumbled.
After everything was signed and done, Derek cupped Stiles’ jaw and slowly leaned in for a soft press of lips. Stiles’ eyes were huge when he pulled back.
“It’s a bit backwards, marrying before dating,” Derek said. He shrugged. “It fits us though.”
A smile spread on Stiles’ face, until he was downright beaming. “It does, yeah.”

Something nice to think about for you is Derek Hale’s ears going pink every time Stiles calls him something sweet. Kate sure never called him anything that was remotely sweet, and the rest of the people he dated didn’t call him anything but his name. But as soon as he starts dating Stiles the inventive nicknames immediately go soppy, and he throws every adorable pet name he can at Derek. Whatever else Derek thought about his future, he never thought he’d respond to sweetheart sugarbunch.

Greenberg and Danny go to school together. They’re both into music and spend a lot of time playing together. After high school, Danny moves and goes to college but continues to play local coffee shops, while Greenberg decides to pursue a career in music and winds up making it pretty big. Years later, Danny sees Greenberg on TV and feels a hint of longing about his old friend. He takes a chance and reaches out to his Greenberg and the two meet up for coffee. Danny is surprised to see the same spark he always felt is still there. More surprising is that Greenberg himself seems to feel the same way, and later admits that some of his songs are written about Danny.
