Nope, what I need is a sweet!Laura Hale, who’s a little shy when she meets new people but that doesn’t mean she’s an introvert like her younger siblings, just that it takes a while for her to warm up around strangers . (It never takes long though because Laura lives for making new friends and it’s so easy to get captivated with their stories because people are so interesting omg!)

Laura, who’s laugh is the most contagious in the room, loud and boisterous and just so happy all the time that most people can’t believe that she’s Derek and Cora’s older sister. (Scott takes a double take when he first meet Laura because wow a smiling Hale.) Laura who is only five years old when Talia comes home with a baby!Derek and is immediately in love with his squishy red face. She dotes on him, lets him play with her toys and crayons and sings him a lullaby when baby!Derek can’t sleep. She does the same thing to Cora too when Cora is born, but ends up still mothering her brother more even as they grow up. “I’m not Derek, Laura. I don’t need anyone to take care of me.” Cora rebuffs her once, face pale and sweaty as she glares at her older sister from beneath her comforters. Laura smiles, hands her sister a bowl of soup. “OK.”

Give me shopaholic! Laura, so in love with every new trend and loves to drag Derek shopping with her. Derek who is a stingy butt and nearly cries when he looks at his older sisters resit, muttering about debts and loans and I’ll be dragged into it too won’t I? But who is he kidding? He loves spending time with Laura, she’s fucking hilarious alright.

Laura Hale who pulls Stiles into a tight hug when Derek finally brings him to dinner, not threatening to dump his body somewhere else because that is fucking rude ok? That shouldn’t be anyone’s first impression when they’re meeting someone important in their significant others life. (the dinner goes splendid; she and Stiles gets along so well, Derek is almost jealous.)

Laura who can’t cook for shit and wriggles herself to Cora’s side, eyes wide and begging because she’s really hungry and her lil sister makes the best lasagna oh pwetty please Coraline-chan??? (Cora groans and pushes her sisters face away, eyes crinkling at the corner in fond amusement. She’s a lot like Derek that way, they’re always keeping their emotions to themselves god knows why)

Patient! Laura, never pushing anyone she loves to do something they’re not ready to do and simply giving them a shoulder to cry on or cuddle fest. Because she loves them OK? She’ll die protecting them.

Just…Laura Hale is so much more than the angry bossy stubborn character that fandom is so obsessed with alright? I just need Derek and Cora’s sister to be gentle and caring and just a big sister that’s it.
